LEICESTER, England (AP) — Leicester manager Nigel Pearson says he has had "conversations" with the club's board amid speculation about his future with the Premier League's last-place team.
Leicester released a statement Sunday saying Pearson will take charge of the team's league game at Arsenal on Tuesday despite widespread reports in the British media that he had been fired. Pearson was tight-lipped about his future in a routine pre-match news conference Monday, saying "I'm not going to speak about it. We have a game tomorrow. It's important my focus ... is on what we are going to do tomorrow night."Pearson is also under scrutiny following a bizarre incident during Leicester's 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace Saturday when he placed his hands round the neck of Palace midfielder James McArthur in a touchline confrontation.
